FABFit classes are great way for Post Natal mums to get back into shape and improve your fitness in a fun, group environment. You have no crèche costs to worry about as we exercise outdoors with your baby in their buggy plus you and your child get some fresh air too!
Each session commences with a gentle warm up, followed by stretches and then we pick up the pace to a brisk walk to raise the heart rate. This will help to burn body fat! We’ll also carry out gentle exercises aimed to tone your muscles in a safe and effective manner. The session ends with a cool down and some more stretches.
The classes are run in a relaxed atmosphere and over time will give you more energy to cope with motherhood. It’s also a great opportunity to meet up with other mums and make new friends for you and your child.
Location
Every Wednesday 10:30-11:30am at Backwell Park, meeting in the Bowling Club Car Park on West Town Road, BS48 3BQ
Clothing
It is advised to wear loose fitting clothing and a comfy pair of walking / running shoes. As this class is all weathers and we are in the UK there is a chance that it may rain (!) so make sure you bring clothing that’s appropriate for the elements.
How soon after having my Baby can I come to FABFit?
As soon as your midwife or Doctor gives you the all clear to start exercising. This is usually after 6 weeks, however this may be a little longer if you have had a C section. Either way an all clear from the midwife or Doctor will be needed.
How much does a class cost?
Classes are £4 per session or £3.50 if you block book a 10 session course (terms and conditions apply)
What if it rains?
Unless there are extreme weather conditions the class will go on! Dress appropriately and bring the rain cover for your buggy. If it’s too wet or dangerous you will receive a text message to tell you the class is cancelled.
What do I need to bring?
A towel to lie on, a bottle of water, sun block if appropriate, and anything your baby needs (food, snacks toys, bottles) including a suitable buggy/stroller.
What sort of Buggy do I need?
Any walking buggy is suitable; an umbrella style stroller is not suitable as it may get a little bumpy!
I’ve never exercised before can I come?
Classes are suitable for all mothers regardless of fitness level and if you come regularly you will get fitter and stronger.
What do I need to do next?
